REPEAL
BILL
To repeal certain laws pertaining to the Kwazulu Cane
Growers Association and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Repeal
of laws.
1.
The laws
mentioned in the Schedule are repealed to the extent set out in the third
column thereof.
Transfer of levies.
2.
(a) The balance of levies
collected under section 3(1) of the Kwazulu Cane Growers Association Act, 1981
(Act No. 12 of 1981) must be transferred to a company established in terms of
section 21 of the Companies Act, 1973 (Act No. 61 of 1973).
(b)
The levies
transferred to the company contemplated in paragraph (a) must be used for the
development of small cane growers.
(c)
The Minister
must approve the establishment of the company contemplated in paragraph (a).
Short title.
2.
This Bill is
called the Kwazulu Cane Growers Association Act Repeal Act, 2001.
