The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson invites members of the media to the 11 th Annual Female Farmer Awards.

This year marks the 10 th anniversary of the Female Farmer Awards initiated by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1999. The main objective of the awards is to empower women in agriculture by recognising and increasing their visibility in the agricultural sector. The awards have since inception, recognised the contribution of women in the fight against poverty, hunger and joblessness.
